Let us begin with me asking a simple question…
Which of these do you agree with?
- Intelligence is fixed at birth.
- Some people are creative, others aren’t.
- You can become a world-class expert through enough practice, whatever your starting point.
- You can change your personality.
“If you agreed with the first two statements, you’re coming from a fixed mindset. If you agreed with the second two, you’ve got a growth mindset.”
In all my years of living on this beautiful planet there are some basic necessity to be taken care of. Some of them are pointed out below…
- You have to be good looking.. ( Doesn’t have a logic, but then who cares?)
- You have to be famous.. (Who would want to read or listen to a speech by an average engineering student?)
- You have to be in the limelight.. (otherwise your existence doesn’t matter to people?)
- You have to be saluting types… (Yes, Sir… Yes, Ma'am…)
- And a pinch of creativity… (It may be last but not the least, though out wouldn’t agree!)
And having said that I would like to mention that I am none of the above mentioned points. Sometimes I question my existence, “Who Am I?”, “Where Do I Belong?”, “Will I Ever Be Able To Do What I Love?”, “Will I Ever Be Famous?” (Who doesn’t want to be famous?), etc. And they have a common answer I don’t know..
And I have finally decided to come out of the darkness and stop being the shadow that I have always been. It’s time to rise. It’s time to follow Winston Churchill,s quote, “Twenty to twenty five! These are the years! Don’t be content with things as they are. Don’t take ‘No’ for an answer. Never submit to failure. You will make all kings of mistakes; but as long as you are generous true and fierce, you cannot hurt the world or even seriously distress it. She (the world) was made to be wooed and won by youth.”
